About Koji & me

I'm Audrey.  I'm  the “me” in Koji & me , and I’m writing to you with a very full heart. You see, my brother Koji,  the best Frenchie in the world, had a really tough time when he became paralysed from IVDD. It was scary for all of us and I just couldn't understand why he wouldn't wrestle with me anymore. But thanks to some pretty clever products, and a lot of snuggles, Koji not only pulled through — he is now thriving, despite only having two legs.

Mum created this store to share the very best of what helped him — the soft things, the clever things, the durable and nourishing things — with other dogs (and their humans) who might need a little extra TLC too. Every product here has been paw-picked with love,  and are about sustainable comfort, and care. 

We care a lot about the planet we all sniff and play around on. That’s why we choose sustainable packaging, eco-friendly business practices, and ethical and locally-sourced Australian ingredients for all our nutritional products.  My favourite is mum's chicken broff(th).  

So from me, Audrey — and my brave brother Koji — welcome to our world. We hope it brings you as much joy and comfort as it’s brought us.

Koji's Journey

When our beloved Koji was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), our world changed overnight. IVDD is a degenerative spinal condition that affects thousands of dogs each year, causing disc herniation and rupture that can lead to severe pain, mobility issues, and in serious cases, complete paralysis of the limbs. Despite undergoing major spinal surgery, Koji's hind legs never regained their function. While the surgery successfully relieved his pain, it left us navigating a new reality—caring for a dog with special mobility needs.

What we discovered through Koji's journey is that dogs with disabilities don't see themselves as limited. They adapt with remarkable resilience and continue to find joy in life's simple pleasures. We have learnt that dogs with special needs require extra attention to their overall health, body care, and hydration—especially during recovery, physical therapy, and active periods. 

Koji taught us that with the right support, adaptive care, and persevering  love, dogs with disabilities can live full, joyful lives. Every dog deserves to thrive, regardless of their physical limitations. That's why we're committed to curating products that support all dogs—whether they're scaling mountains or rolling through the park in their wheels.

WHY Shop at KOJI & ME?

We started Koji & me because we were tired of buying the same cheap dog products over and over. Every few months: another leaky water bottle in the bin. Another plush chew toy ripped from limb to limb with polyester stuffing all over the house. More polyester & plastic waste. More money wasted.

We searched everywhere - Amazon, Petbarn, pet stores. Everything was either: - Cheap and disposable (breaks in months) - Or overpriced and over-hyped (not actually better).
